It would require some work. Not to say we won't look at something like this when we start looking at savegame stuff. Thanks for the suggestion, it's been noted. One quick note, there are oodles of features that are really easy to add... heck in some cases they take a few minutes to bang in (on the programming side). Each of those features requires testing though, and maintenance... which tends to drive the actual cost of a feature up by a bit more than you'd imagine. So it's more of a 'we need to keep in mind how many of these little features we're looking at', instead of a 'it's too complicated' kind of thing.
