Game-Vixen's Athena (aka Laelia) presents to us her most promising preview for NCSoft's upcoming Auto Assualt...
If you are one of those types who enjoys crafting, there is an interesting tiered craft system. You are able to choose from power plants (engines), projectile weapons, and armor to begin with, and then you advance to more difficult items such as chassis, wheels, advanced armor, energy weapons and so on. At first crafting is a bit tricky to nail down, but once you break and fix your first item, it starts to make sense. You will keep track of your craft skill through the craft skill window, repair items in another window, and spend points on craft abilities such as tinkering, experimentation, reverse engineering, and memorization; these skills increase your ability to insert gadgets, enhance items, break-down, and memorize items. In order to create or repair an item you will need components that are gathered from the outside world by destroying buildings and enemies.
