Action Vault has posted part 1 of an interview with Enlight's Game Designer Andy Grimbal as he reveals more about his company's action RPG 'Joan of Arc'.Action Vault: Since we tend to begin by asking for an introductory overview, what kind of game is Joan of Arc, what kinds of gameplay will it provide, and how historically accurate will it be?
Andy Grimbal: Joan of Arc is loosely based on the historical accounts of the legendary French leader and her military exploits in the Hundred Years' War - as such, the timeframe is between 1429 and 1430 AD. Actually, the game involves a lot of action, but incorporates real-time strategy and RPG elements. The RTS elements in the game are not too advanced for the casual gamer, but do add a certain depth to the gameplay in later scenarios.
As the missions are based, by and large, on the actual campaign that Joan of Arc underwent during the Hundred Years' War. There will be eight of them in total, starting from her arrival at Orleans all the way to her defense of Compiegne and siege on Paris. |
