Gamers Press has done a review of Warlords Battlecry 2. We have yet to see a negative one, and this is one is no excpetion: very positive and nearly enthisastic (awarding the game with an "editor's choice"). Here's something from that review:
And there's even your choice in what kind of Hero to have. Ordinary heroes, if they die in battle but you wind up winning anyway, will come back the next fight, with some experience points gained. If you select Tinman, they'll lost any experience gained if they die in battle, but they'll gain 125% of experience if they survive it. Bronzemen get 150% of experience if they live, but if they die, they'll drop back down to the start of whatever level they're on. Ironman is the hardest - if your character dies, they're dead forever and ever, but they'll gain 200% of experience in every battle. (If you want to know true fear, play Ironman. It'll grow hair on your chest. And if you're a woman - I find hairy chested women very sexy.) Defeating the game at various levels also gets you different trophies - none of which I've earned yet, but I'm sure they're pretty damn cool. No, not "Oscar" level of cool - but I'm sure "Ace Awards" cool.
