Lionheart Item Feature 8
2003-06-23
Lionheart is a computer role playing game that is being developed by Reflexive Entertainment in conjunction with Black Isle Studios. The game is an original title which uses an updated version of the SPECIAL character development system (from Fallouts 1 and 2) in a quasi-historical medieval Europe. Lionheart diverges from traditional high fantasy by placing the player on Earth in the 16th century in which history has taken a different path and magic has been released upon the world. Using a mix of historical and fictional locations and characters, the player progresses through a deep story while advancing through the classless character system.
In this new series of articles, designers of the game will introduce several items from the game
|
Blade of the Berserker
(Two-Handed) 3-12 Slashing Damage. The powerful enchantments bestowed upon this blade cause the wielder to be more powerful and precise in battle, but more foolhardy about the threat of personal injury. Armor Class is decreased by 10, but Critical Chance is increased by 10% and Strength is increased by 1. |

Nostrodomus' Centuries
Bound by an unearthly material, written in magical inks, and scripted in an alien tongue, this book exudes a preternatural power. Hidden within its dark pages are the fates of kings, emperors, and paupers alike. Only a learned scholar could fathom the pages of this tome and translate the prophecies of the mysterious seer. |

Blood Ring of Richard the Lionhearted
This ring lightly pulses to the beat of an unseen heart. Minute inscriptions inside the band of the ring indicate that the inset gems were bathed in Richard's blood and the magics of the ring will only work for one of his bloodline. For you, the ring gives 10% more Crushing and Slashing Damage and increases Mana Capacity by 30. For others, the ring is only worth as much as a jeweled ring, as it does nothing for them. |
