RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Halfdane has rated the following games:

Deus Ex: 10/10 points

One of the greatest RPGs ever. [BR] Incredible scenario. Awsome graphics. Nice gameplay. You'll only be disappointed if you are a trigger happy FPS freak, this is a RPG!

Divine Divinity: 9/10 points

Played German version since I live in Denmark. Upsides: Great gameplay. Awesome character development. Lots of freedom. Downsides: Decent graphics, but not breathtaking (who cars anyway?) Btw, all who judge/review a game form its DEMO should be lined up against a wall and shot.

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 9/10 points

Pros: Huge. Awesome graphics. Incredible depth. 200h of gameplay. Cons: Get's too easy combatwise after lvl 20. A couple of bugs (must of them fixed with the latest patch though)

Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 7/10 points

Unfortunately, I played this game in the year 2000. After playing Fallout 2,... so I was a little disappointed by the shortness

Fallout 2: 9/10 points

The only two thing keeping me from giving this geme 10 is 1/ the frustrating stupidity of your henchmen 2/The time limit on the major quest... All the other things in this game are awesome

Fallout Tactics - The Brotherhood of Steel: 9/10 points

I loved it. Though it was too buggy pre-patch. Upsides: Nice graphics, the SPECIAL system (perks, traits,...), the combat. Downside: Lack of interaction with the environment (a rocket louncher can't even blow a hole in a wooden fence), linearity and a few bugs.

Icewind Dale 2: 9/10 points

Good game overall. Good implementation of 3E rules. Interseting battle. The graphics are dated though that's the only thing keeping it from getting 10/10

Neverwinter Nights: 6/10 points

Nice graphics and beautifully rendered shadows for sure. But graphics do not make an RPG! I for one do not care for MP (I would just play MMORPGs if I did), neither do I care for modules. So I found the single player campain too boring and... expensive in terms of $/hour gameplay!

Sea Dogs: 8/10 points

I have mixed feeling about this game. When the action takes place at sea it is worth 10/10, breath taking graphics, great models for storm, water and wind. When on land it is worth 6/10. Awkward movement all port cities look alike. Wait for Sea Dogs 2!

Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption: 9/10 points

Without the 1.1 patch: Score = 6 With the 1.1 patch: Score = 9 The gold version f the game was almost uplayable: one could not save anywhere and could not pause combat to issue orders, these two things were a receipe for disaster. The patch fixes those two things, but unfortunately the reviewers reviewed the unpatched version, therefore the game did not receive the scores it merits. So bottom line: GET IT. PATCH IT. ENJOY IT.

Wizardry 8: 8/10 points

Great game. Infinite possibilities for customising the 6 peep party. The gameplay was great. The voice acting unique. On the downside: Dated graphics compared with other games from this year.
