Adventure Gamers' Marek Bronstring posted this little newsbit re the Adventure Company's newest promotion for Still Life - how I missed it earlier remains a mystery...

The Adventure Company has created an elaborate web-based game for the promotion of the upcoming Microids-created mystery adventure Still Life.

The promotional mystery game is being called an "extended reality experience", which means it's probably has some similarities with the immensely popular I Love Bees (used to promote Halo 2) and what was known as "The Beast" (which promoted the movie AI). Both web games had a great word-of-mouth effect that helped raise awareness of the Xbox game and the film respectively.

The Still Life extended reality game will have three parts, which center around the characters and events leading up to, and after, the launch of the Still Life PC game. Players will begin the first part of their online investigation as Still Life’s protagonist, Victoria McPherson, FBI Agent.
