The graphics may be dated to look at (Ultima 6/7) but the challenging gameplay is great. The monster AI is believable and what you say to NPCs actually effects the game world. I also like the fact that I can choose *not* to save the world. I've found my little genetic minions to be far more useful than my familiar and summoned animals were in BG 2. There's also a larger variety. Now if I could only get them to carry all my loot... This game proves you don't need bells, whistles and eye-candy to make a truely great game. Just make it fun and challenging!

Raises story based non-linearity to an art form, and what is more, it is incredibly engaging and fun.

The graphics are dated, the sound is basic and there's no misuc at all. But who cares? The story is great and open-ended. The combination of the leadership skill and the fact people remeber what you say to them makes for the best reputationsystem I've ever seen. Definately worth trying!

The world wich mix fantasy and genetic is very original and coherent. Your choices have real and huge consequences on the rest of your adventure. The scenario with the multiple faction is great. A must play.

Awesome game. the only weak points are the AI and the graphics, and the graphics are a big improvement from avernum, much less exile.

CRPG at it best, what you say to the npc maters, what you do maters, tactics maters, and you decide where and when to do things.

Great RPG without any of the garbage I've been seeing so much lately. Graphics are kind of bad, and there's not much in the way of sound. But it's got alot of the core "RPGness". Shaping creations is really cool and is something I'd like to see more of. The game kind of putters out towards the end, but it's great until then. It just seems like there's alot of options for what to do at the end that are all basically the same.
