Loaded, Inc's Matt Smith was only mildly impressed with Kult: Heretic Kingdoms, as evidenced by his somewhat lukewarm review which ended up in an overall 7.5 out of 10 rating...

Overall, Kult is a solid game, but the lengthy pauses that occur whenever you access your inventory can really become frustrating. It may just be my setup, but the patch to address several small problems with the game actually made this worse for me. Despite this, the game plays well with some different aspects to bring to the genre which differ from the norm. The plot is pretty engaging too, and signing a talent such as Tom Baker to do voiceovers is a real coup. Fans of the Diablo series and similar games should give this a try due to the strong storyline and although it may not be a title to topple the aforementioned series, it does provide a good deal of enjoyment whilst it lasts.
