It's very positive, rating the game A+ and coming to this conclusion: Dark Alliance is a fantastic, beautifully created "PC to console" oriented masterpiece that justifies an immediate purchase by adventure and non-adventure lovers alike. Gameplay is fast and rarely interrupted, a story keeps the player interested, environments are significantly detailed and the amount of character adjustments possible are very involving. A strong two player mode that allows for twice the fun and a severe lack of flaws promote Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance as the new RPG action/adventure slasher of choice for the PlayStation 2, and that recognition is rightly deserved.
