The Guild Wars team opted to allow the gaming public to play a preview version of the game during E3. It was a risky move but one that really showed what their game was capable of. Halfway through the show they reported over 150,000 unique players had created accounts, and as of the time of this writing the servers had held up flawlessly. During the show as many as 20,000 simultaneous users were kicking the tires of this new online world.
