The Xbox has long been lacking in Japanese-style RPGs, a problem that has likely had a hand in the console's disappointing sales both domestically and in Japan. Also, with Sony hoping to bring Final Fantasy XI outside of Japan sometime in the not too distant future, the Xbox could be left with only Phantasy Star Online to quench the needs of its Live RPG fans. True Fantasy Online (TFO), a very Japanese-styled RPG game that also happens to be a MMORPG, has the potential take a step toward eliminating both short-comings, but after seeing the game in action at E3, it's hard to say whether the game will be successful in its missions.
