Contrary to popular beliefs, game companies do occasionally have female employees. We are an odd breed, conditioned after long years to be most comfortable socially when sharing Chinese food with other geeks at a local hole in the wall but yummy establishment, debating the relative pluses and minuses of various operating systems and programming languages, groaning appreciatively at puns, and dodging the occasional flirtatious advances of our mostly single male companions. This lifestyle agrees with us, and generally we don’t mind too much that we don’t have many female friends, and don’t feel that we’re treated at all unfairly because of our gender.
