GameSpy has re-reviewed Square's 'Final Fantasy XI' now that the game has been live for three months.
It’s been three months to the day since Final Fantasy XI launched on the PC in America. It hit shelves with surprising little ballyhoo for a game in the colossal console RPG series, but despite the apparent lack of enthusiasm for the game amongst PC gamers, the population of Vana’diel has rapidly doubled in size. To accommodate the massive influx of new players, Square Enix has been busy polishing the game even further to make the experience even better. While there haven’t been any truly massive changes, a huge number of subtle tweaks have continually refined the play experience for players of all levels. This tops off one of the best MMORPG launches the U.S. has ever seen, and coupled with the extensive new content forthcoming, further solidifies my opinion that this game is among the MMO elite.
