GameArena has whipped up a preview of Blizzard's 'World of Warcraft'.You could tell that Blizzard’s game designers had a hard time when it came time to figuring out where Warlocks sit in the scheme of things in WoW. Warlocks are meant to be the bad seeds of the wizard world, one time mages who developed too much of an interest in the demonic side of the art.
This is where a little confusion comes in. You see, Alliance and Horde alike can play Warlocks. But the story line talks of how Warlocks are backed by the Burning Legion, a humongous demonic army. Confused as to how these good guys can peacefully coexist with Alliance classes? I am. For the record, only Humans, Gnomes (from Alliance) and Undead and Orcs (Horde) can be Warlocks. The vast majority are obviously either going to be Human or Undead, and it's these races I have spent most of my Warlock time play as. |
