Was a definite step up in gameplay compared to 6, offered more customization than 8, and was easily better than that trainwreck 9 (careful what you wish for, some games shouldn't be in 3D!). Graphics aren't bad, really. You can tell various monsters from one another. The only complaint is that the hardware-accelerated option screwed up the monster sprites on my version. One of the best RPGs I've played in a while. Recommended.
