GamerGod's 'JOOPninja' reveals this rather relative review re Guild Wars - I am rather confused as to their overall rating, however, as Guild Wars receives both an overall 7.6 out of 10 rating, and a 4 out of 5 star rating... *shrugs*

Guild Wars is a fantasy adventure-based MMORPG. It focuses on gaining experience, which in turns grants level-ups and attributes to spend on your characters. However, unlike most MMORPGs, it offers this in different ways. It is now possible to get experience through quests as well as just killing "mobs." Also the dynamic "unique quest map" function is an excellent addition. With options to customize your character and various professions, the game boasts a vast adventure for experienced and new MMORPG gamers alike.

To start with, you are presented with a breathtaking opening movie, which had me eager to begin the gameplay. You are placed in the starting town and directed towards the first NPC. After running around, customizing my interface, and getting a feel for controls, I was ready to go off on my quests.

The NPC directs the player to further NPCs throughout the city with various easy quests designed to gradually ease the player into the story and gameplay of Guild Wars. If you have ever played a game where a mission/quest been completed by someone else before you get there, or there are 50 players waiting for he same monster to appear, it can get quite annoying. This is where Guild Wars shines! You (or your group) travel throughout the cities and locations completing quests. However, each time you leave an area, you are taken to your own, unique quest map; no one else is there or can steal it or harass you. I think that this is slightly anti-social, but it is also a fantastic idea and Guild Wars pulls it off nicely.
