The next review over at Gone Gold is for Diablo 2 - Lord of Destruction. Final rating is 92%, and here's something about multiplayer:
If you haven’t played Diablo 2 in multiplayer since the original release, Lord of Destruction might be a good time to give it another try. Unlike the pathetic launch, Battlenet now has quite acceptable performance and plenty of other players to join in the action. The only shortcoming here is, with the release of Lord of Destruction, original Diablo 2 players cannot play with Lord of Destruction expansion players unless they too have the expansion, which fragments the player base a bit. |
