The Disciples 2 expansion, Guardians of the Light has been reviewed at Gamerswanted where it received quite a good response. The score is 8.3/10 and here's a sample:
You will take the role of a direct underling to the ruler of the kingdom in which you reside. Players choose from one of three ruler types; General, Warlock, or Thief each with it's own class benefits. Of the three, I particularly liked the feel of the Warlock. He had some great abilities that were not obtainable in game by any other means (decreased cost of spells and ability to cast each spell twice in one round). You generally begin a map with only one city under your control. Taking control of additional cities does not automatically give you additional resources. Taking over a city or planting a “wand” changes the land type in the immediate area, but it takes a few rounds for your influence to spread to the nearby resources.
