While the PC Version of one of my all-time favourite games has been released more than 1 year ago, the Mac community will shortly be able to enjoy Vampire - The Masquerade: Redemption. IMG has posted a preview of the game, and here's a snippet of it:
What sets Vampire apart from both typical fantasy RPGs and hack-and-slash titles is the rich and detailed mythology behind it that continually confronts the player with moral choices and dilemmas. Rather than being based on some watered-down fantasy garbage recycled from Tolkien, Vampire is essentially rooted in Christian mythology, instantly familiar to many people. Christof’s quest to reclaim his own soul and humanity feels quite personal compared to a dwarf’s lust for steel and gold, though the elements of the arcane might offend some people’s religious beliefs. |
