Gamersclick reviewed Celtic Kings, rating it 66% (Fair). Here is the author's final opinion:

I’m not sure what to make of this game. It’s pretty enough, and the RTS game – though potentially very long – is original enough to deserve some applause. The tutorial is first rate. I can see this title being an excellent multiplayer game, especially if two or three human opponents took on the computer. The adventure, unfortunately, is very repetitive and wearying at times. The missions vary greatly in quality and difficulty from one map to the next, and the fate of the hero is never made interesting enough to make his life precious to me beyond being the continuous mission goal. It’s really hard to rate a game whose two parts are so wildly different from each other.
