Ultima 5 Lazarus Interview

PlanetDungeonSiege has conducted an interview with Terilem Dragon, lead 2D artist over at Ultima 5 - Lazarus, the remake of the classic game with the Dungeon Siege engine. Here's a bit:

    PDS: What are you currently working on?

    Terilem Dragon:
    At the moment I'm working on the portraits for Alistair the Bard and Toede and also a new version of the cloth map.

    PDS: Will the portraits be static for each NPC, or will they have different facial expressions depending on what happens in dialog?

    Terilem Dragon:
    This idea has been brought up a couple of times amongst the team, and as much as we'd like to do that, the amount of work that goes into each portrait makes the concept pretty much infeasible if I'm to complete all my work on time.
