Neverwinter Vault is currently spotlighting the persistent world servers, "Bastions of War" and their server-wide event "Call of War". Forces for good and evil battle one another for control of the world.
Call of War is a tournament held on Bastions of War during most major US holidays. Organized through Neverwinter Connections, this is the second event of its name though other similar games have been hosted for Neverwinter Convention I, II, and 2.5. The two teams are Good and Evil, class alignment restrictions have been lifted, so Paladins can be Evil, and Assassins can be Good. Characters are leveled up according to the range of the event so anyone can sign up, jump in to make a character, and start to play without worrying about leveling a character to participate.
There are 4 ranges at various times; level 30 (435,000 experience), and level 40 (780,000 experience, 1,800,000 experience, and 3,000,000 experience); more experience gives you more gold, and more gold allows you to buy better and more expensive gear. There are two types of games; regular and capture the flag. Regular games are similar to normal Bastions of War play; killing the opposing team to score points, the team with the most points at the end of a 30 minute round wins the rounds; the first team to win two rounds is victorious. In capture the flag, you receive the flag by killing the flag barrier, holding the flag for 2 minutes scores a point for your team, and at the end of two 30 minute rounds, the team with the most points wins.
The rest of the scoring rubric and awards meted out can be seen at NW Vault.
