RPG Vault has conducted an interview with Webzen's In-Kyun Hong, Producer of the company's fantasy MMORPG 'Soul of the Ultimate Nation'.The Immortal Emperor Schwarz possesses the secret to gathering the essence of nature, a material known as Ether. He also has the knowledge necessary to convert it into a potent form of dark energy. The resulting power made the mighty armies of his Geist Empire even more formidable. They swept aside any and all opposition, conquering the entire continent of Blandis. That was five long centuries ago, during which time the ongoing extraction of the prized substance has left the domain severely impoverished. Consequently, in order to extend his long reign, the eyes and attention of its ruler have turned in other directions, toward the still unexploited lands of those nations unfortunate enough to be located close by. With hostilities seeming inevitable, a rebel leader named Ignis has formed a rebel faction, the Guidance, which now stands in his way.
SUN, which is an acronym for Soul of the Ultimate Nation, is the closest to release of three massively multiplayer projects Webzen has announced it will launch in North America and Europe. During the past several months, we've seen and heard quite a bit about the company. This may have come as something of a surprise to many online gamers living in the West. However, the Korean-based developer and publisher is a major player in the global market due to the level of success it has achieved in various parts of the Far East, primarily its home country and China. Last month, the title made a very auspicious debut at the E3 trade show. What we observed and heard at that event made us even keener to learn more about many aspects in this session with its Producer, In-Kyun Hong. |
