The newest update to Middle-Earth Online official website includes a brand new developer diary from Geo discussing the music composition in the game, here is a snip:
I started playing music when I was 10. Headphones, Led Zeppelin and band rehearsal 4 times a week with the other "cats" who cared for nothing else but creating invisible art. Eventually I arrived at Berklee College of Music where I studied Jazz Composition and Guitar. After graduation we hit the open highway, in a van where shotgun was king. We drove coast to coast, never in a straight line, and back again. We played them all: festivals, cities, towns, and colleges, anywhere where there were hungry listeners. In the end, the road seemed to lead directly to Turbine, where I've been hiding from my band-mates ever since I first saw the graphics engine.
