As promised here is the next ramble.
When we started CZ we had two key goals. First, we wanted to combine the depth and longevity of persistent world gaming with the immediacy and visceral appeal of action games. I talked a bit about this aspect of CZ in the last ramble.
Second, we wanted to create an online world that gave players a chance to get involved in meaningful action beyond pure power-playing as a way of adding depth and richness to the experience of playing the game.The NPC factions provide one of the key instruments for achieving this second goal and they do this in five different ways.
