To make things easier, here are the highlights of tuesdays chat:

  • There are multiple publishers, the US one will announce in the next couple of weeks.

  • The demo (5-10% of the game) will be released a few weeks before the game itself and is smaller than 200 MB, game release is Q1 2004 - movies will appear earlier.

  • System requires a 3D accelerator and DirectX 9.

  • Resolution will be higher than in Divinity, the avatars are scaled in the engine, no fixed size.

  • Save function is similar to Divinity - a bit faster, saves are smaller.

  • Special edition with merchandise has to be discussed with the publishers.

  • Battlefields are intended for level up, therefore the difficulty level will increase with your level.

  • Some NPCs from Divinity will be seen again.

  • There are quests related to the rune language. These runes have to be deciphered - they're necessary for hints, quests and other related stuff.

  • New races, known at the moment: Raanar.

  • Inventory will be better organised.

  • Combined and critical items will be as in Divinity and not critical to main plot.

  • Combat is more tactical due to the party resulting out of the Death Knight, the char and the summoned dolls - party can split, the 2 soulforged may split to a certain extent - rebalanced stats system and new combat equations - lesser monsters, harder fights.

  • Death Knight takes evil choice, the char can decide both (evil/good).

  • One summoning doll has a very important input on the main story line.

  • There is a frogger level.
