Not exactly a preview, yet, but still worthy enough to mention, espially since there hasn't been much news on this highly promising project for a while:
The current (April, presumably) edition of PCGamer UK is featuring a small artile on ERA. They appear to like what they have seen so far, even though they seem to err on a thing or two:

"In order to maintain my grumpy old man image, it's become essential to foster some pet hates. One of these is silly game names - you know the ones: not enough vowels and too many subtitles. So when I learnt of Danish developers Peroxide's new game, I instantly felt warm and fuzzy towards them. Era is a defiantly single-player RPG, which they openly admit is a tribute to Ultima V [sic!], a game generally agreed to be one of the best of that series. Using a proprietary engine to create a lush world (pictured), Era's details are a little scant but I have high hopes for the end of the year."

The ERA project in fact developed from an aborted remake of Ultima 1 in 3D. However, it has since been entirely rewritten and only relates to Ultima in spirit (and quite some gameplay aspects) anymore. Still, it is nice to get some mainstream attention on the Ultima community every once in a while.
