Gamers Pulse calls Everquest Online Adventures for PS 2 a "must have" in their review they published today. Thus, the positive conclusion comes as no surprise:
As the harmoniously multi-special cast of Sesame Street once sang, "Cooperation, making it happen/ Cooperation, working together." In a nutshell, that sums up EOA's biggest strength - the chance to explore, shoot the breeze, trade items and charge into battle with Taka-san from Tokyo and Herr Hans van Houten from Hamburg, all within the confines of a somewhat unattractive but breathtakingly expansive and diverse online world. Though there are certainly better options to be found on the PC platform, PS2 owners who can stomach the repetitive combat (not to mention the $9.95 monthly fee), have an extra USB keyboard and a healthy chunk of free time laying around, and want a solidly designed introduction to the MMORPG craze could do worse than to give Evercracka spin... if you're not careful, it just might end up becoming your virtual drug of choice. |
