Morrowind (XBox) First Impressions at XBOX.IGN.com

Some first impressions from the XBox port of Morrowind have gone online at Xbox.IGN.com. Here's how a PC gamer sees how the port went:
To be honest, I was kind of dreading switching from PC to Xbox. I'd be losing the crisper resolutions and precise mouse control available on the PC, and I really wasn't sure how well the controls would work on the Xbox. And what about the conversation system? Morrowind is a text-heavy game and doing a lot of reading off a TV screen isn't always fun.

I shouldn't have worried. The Xbox version is a marvelous conversion, and what it lacks in terms of screen resolution and precision mouse movements it makes up for with ease of play. After all, if you're going to be playing one game for hours and hours at a time, far better to do it from the comfort of a sofa rather than let yourself be hunched over a keyboard and monitor screen.
