Some glowing prose for Ascaron's 'Sacred' can be found in Technical Geek's review. The score is 87% and here's a clip:The first awesome part of the fantasy-based RPG Sacred is the wide selection of characters. A total of six characters are at the gamer’s hands, each with different styles and tactics used in the game. For one, there is the gladiator- a warrior who is unequaled in melee combat. Also, there are the Seraphim, holy warriors who use light on her side in battle. Next, Sacred offers the chance to play as the wood elf, an archer of the forest who also specializes in moon and healing magic. Her evil counterpart, the dark elf shows her face in Ancaria, with unique weapons and the ability to use traps. Battle mages have come to join the fight, using a wide variety of magical skills to lay low their enemies. Lastly is the vampiress, a unique class never really seen before in RPG’s. Combining dark arts like summoning bats and life stealing with the ability to be a knight during the day makes this class one that is both rewarding and different. Despite the seemingly unholy practices of some of the classes, all are out to put an end to the demon of SHALDAR. | Source: RPG Codex |
