Of Camelot has interviewed Mythic's new Internet Relations Manager...Of Camelot: Do you see DAoC setting a new benchmark that other games are going to have to meet?Mythic: Camelot is going to refine the genre with the realm vs. realm combat, with a thousand things designed to add fun and remove drudgery, with beautiful graphics and exciting effects. Character development is going to be on a whole new level than you might be used to, with specialization and tradeskills that matter if you choose to pursue them. The way we're going about monster encounters is only similar to your past experiences on the surface. Take scouting, for instance. As I player, I run around looking for things to whack. I find a camp, it looks too big for my blood, so I go get some friends and together we empty the area. In Dark Age of Camelot the monsters can do the same thing. Better post a lookout of your own.... The potential for immersion here is enormous. This game is going to have a a new depth, a whole new dimension of the online gaming experience.
