This week's Weekend Gamer at Evil Avatar titled 'There and Back Again', deals with travel in 'World of Warcraft':
Travel in MMORPGs can eat a lot of time up. I remember one game boasting that it would take someone forty-eight hours to travel through each zone. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have that time to go about running around. Often times travel consists of running here and there and back again. In one game, it took me eight hours to get to a city because the zone I had to go through kept killing me. It was not very fun. Gamers have a right to be impatient with games that make them run all over the place.
