Here's something about the buddy system in this interesting episodic game: THE BUDDY SYSTEM A unique buddy system is introduced within this RPG in the form of animal companions that can join you in the game. In Episode 1 you will use a dog as a companion along your journey with hawks being introduced in later episodes. Dogs have a strategic role within the game such as mines will in helping you deal with large groups of enemies. In many areas you will have to work alongside your animal companion to be able to traverse through it as enemies will become tougher and stronger. Some puzzles will also require the use of dogs to activate certain switches that are not accessible to you. Your animal companion will also increase in experience and abilities as they can continue to do battle in the game. I enjoyed using my dog companion to help me in many of the tougher battles that I had to fight as it was a welcome addition to this finely crafted RPG game.
