It has been quite some time since I last perused the web's premier modsite for all things known (and unknown) in the Freelancer universe - which means I speak of Lancer's Reactor. I'm also happy to report that things are still very much moving at "warp speed" within the Freelancer community, as evidenced by this week's look at two of the latest mods...

(1) To start with, we have Mod Engineer Anarchael releasing his first Freelancer mod entitled "Beginner and Expert Systems - Freelancer Mod":

This is an addon type mod for Freelancer that will work in Multiplayer, Singleplayer and Open Singleplayer games.

This mod adds the Catastropha and Nekathuresa systems. Catastropha is accessible via the Jumpgate next to Detroit Munitions, and the Nekathuresa system can be accessed from the jumphole next to Sanner Research Post in Catastropha. These are fully functional systems with tradelanes, bases, planets and NPC's.

(2) And then there is Mod Engineer FlyByU with the "Freelancer Power Plants Mod V1.0":

This is another totally scripted great addon MOD from FlyByU that can be played in Multiplayer, Singleplayer and Open Singleplayer games. It is totally scripted so it should be compatible with most other MOD's.

This MOD adds 10 upgradable power plants to Freelancer. The Power Plants are available for sale at all bases.

Enjoy!

Of course, this is barely exposing even the minute tip of the iceberg insofar as Freelancer mods, news, utilities, and server events that are very much ongoing.
