Turn-based strategy gamers often feel like the guy at the party talking about the glories of independent film while everyone else is babbling about the latest big budget Hollywood blockbuster. Sure, real-time strategy is fun, cool, and amusing, but for hardcore strategy nuts, turn-based remains the "true" strategy game experience. I certainly count myself among those "nuts," and deep in my nerdish heart I'll always have a soft spot for the "Next Turn" button. That's why I'm so excited to have gotten my hands on a copy of Nival Interactive's S2 - Silent Storm.
