(Thanks to Baci for the lead) Another nice site for RPG fans is out of business: MassiveMultiplayer.org has closed shop - at least for a while now:
Well, it's been over a year since MM.org raised it's tiny little banner in this mess we call the internet. And in that time we've done pretty good for ourselves, carving out a minute niche in the MMORPG world. But sadly we're heading into hibernation for a while.
Until further notice, MM.org will not be updated with any regularity. (You want regular? Try some fiber in your diet...) Both Mystery and I have lost our "mojo" so to speak and the recent state of gaming is just not really working us up into a tizzy about things like they used to. Mystery has also been dealing with starting a new job, and I'm preparing for a cross country move. I know I for one would rather not do a job than do it half-assed, so MM.org is just on the short end of our proverbial sticks.
To all those that have made this such a great place and fun to do, I believe I speak for both of us when I offer up our wholehearted thanks. And I say, fret not, we'll still be lurking about, I'll at least still be peeping in at my e-mail and the forums on occasion. The forums will stay up and operational, and I'll probably be all fired up again in a few months. I promise, we won't go the way of LtM, SND, or Dr. Twister. But in the meantime, go outside and see what that big bright spot in the sky is, I'm going to get some thin mints... Let's hope they get back on their feet soon. BTW, , the site of former voodooextreme's head honcho Billy "Wicked" Wilson is in a hiatus for several weeks now, too - but after each and every weekend they update their "coming soon" page at least *g* |
