RPGDot Game Rating Machine

FrGGr has rated the following games:

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 7/10 points

Ok here's the scoop. First impression from this game is awesome. That's why you're seeing 90% of these ratings 10/10. First 20-40 hours of gameplay is AWESOME. Beings you can do anything you want anytime. Personally I played the "side" factions quests for the first 40 hours or so then got into the "Main" plot. 40-80 hours of gameplay it becomes a lot less appealing, even as open as it first seemed you find the quests are very reptitive in gameplay. 80+ Hours I was finsihing up the main quest and was hoping all the work I put into heading 4 diffeent Factions would somehow tie into the work of the main storyline because it was very dissapointing at this time. Then finally, after advancing my character to head 4 different faction groups and Grandmaster of 1 Guild House then completing the main plot it was done. Just like that, done. Yes there is 350+ more hours I could spend doing more quests but whats the point? I've become leader of everything pretty much and there is no point. It was very dissapointing. To me a great game experience as a whole should give you a feeling of accomplishment. It sohuld build up to the end. Should take all the work/hours you played go out with a bang. Unfortnately even after 4 years of development Morrowind did not accomplish this. Even with their thousands of pages of text/storyline/plot the ending to this game leaves oyu feeling very dissapointed. Yes the game is beautiful, choppy/laggy but worth it in terms of graphics. Sound sucked ass, reptitive low quality samples, footsteps all sound the same no matter where you walk. I found myself turning down the volume of soundeffects to keep myself sane form CliffRacers nearby. Music was done very well, it is repetitive but it was done so well it works great with this game. Overall they did well in raising the standards of RPG's in the furture, the game isn't bad by far, it isn't great though either. All these 10/10 are a reflection of first 10-20 hours of gampeplay, which if you play it that long you WILL play it longer. Just don't expect to feel satisfied with the timespent/satisfaction ratio. I would anticipate the XBox version to be a much better gaming experience.

EverQuest: 1/10 points

I played this game for way too long expecting that once i got to a cerain lvl the game would open up into something new.. more worthwhile quests, items, equipment sense of accompolishment etc.. Huge disappointment, don't waste your time and money. I made a Ranger expecting that I could be a loner type, doesnt need help from anyone can do things on his own, ability to heal, buff and do minor dmg with spells mixed with great melee dmg and potentially the best Bow dmg, seems if u get in over your head as a Ranger u could have time to run away or bowkite your way outta harm. Well this is true until u reach lvl 45 or so, the game is developed to where u have to rely on others to do anything after lvl 45. Druid class is exception to this, as u will realize early that most longitme EQ'ers create a Druid simply for the purpose of being able to solo higher lvl camps for items to twink their other chars. Basically if u have fun spending money for a game where u spend most of your time not actually progressing your char rather waiting for others to port u buy/sell or look for group to kill mobs to advance, have fun wearing out your mouse button monotonously clicking to gain lvls in skills, then once u do all of this the main factor in EQ is money, u can buy/sell for 5 months straight in auction halls posting and reading auctions from others buying/selling in realtime waiting for someine who wants to buy or has what u need u can have higher lvl equip in that 5 months just sitting on your ass buying and selling than 1 year of actually playing the game advancing your char, getting lucky from drops. The point is this game is pointless, it revolves around items/money, the quests timespent/reward is not even in the realm of worthwhile except for the lvl 50+ class specific "Epic" quests which take weeks to months of time to do and HAVE to have a lot of high lvl help from guildmembers or friends to help u await your camptime on certain high lvl mobs that rarely drop what your looking for creating a sense of accompolishment after u finally do get it, but with newer expansion's like Velious and Luclin the Epic's value has dwindled and dwindled as you can get better items from newer high lvl mobs. Bottom line is dont waste your time/money/life getting sucked in, if you enjoy spending money to waste your time/life might as well start smoking crack. I take games pretty seriously as you can tell and EQ is not a game, it is a SoE/Verant Money Machine and all EQ'ers become their little sheep, thats the only way I consider EQ a RPG

Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 9/10 points

Heh just played this game for the first time almost 5 years after it was released and all I can say is Kick Ass ! Goes to show content outweighs beauty/grahics ALWAYS. From the time I started to the last line of credits I loved it (Great music choice for intro and ending).Fun Fun Fun game, almost countless weighs to develop a character, great depth, everything done in this game was done well, and with all the depth it is still simple at the same time, you wont start and not finish it,anyway you look at it it is a great game. The Two Things I dont like about it. 1- Party AI isnt horrible but was relieved when they died (except for dogmeat - *cries ),got tired of getting shot by them. 2- Me, myself and I for waiting sooo long to play this game. If you havent played this game yet DO IT, forget about all the new crap that is out, go buy this game, NOW!, 2 times, dev team deserves it. K, nuff chit-chat leaving now to buy Fallout 2 !

Might & Magic 9: 1/10 points

Ok probably not fair to rate a game I didn't play for more than 2 hours. Gotta give it a 1/10 just for that reason. I am pretty patient when it comes to playing a new game but this just stunk. Graphics/Sound/Gameplay/Interface all were horrid, I had to stop playing it, I'm not an avid M&M fan so maybe thats the problem, but to just pick this game up off the shelfs and play it like I did was a huge mistake. Maybe it builds to something great, maybe... If I see anythign saying it does I might give it another shot. Till then I'll spend my time playing something else.
