RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Artic Blaze Dragon has rated the following games:

Arcanum - Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura: 7/10 points

Interesting premise but becomes a bit boring after a while IMO. Still a solid game.

Deus Ex: 9/10 points

Not a true RPG but definitily more than a FPS, with a good although linear story, nice character development and a great mood. I fails mostly in the monster AI and in some software and hardware incompatibilities.

Diablo: 5/10 points

Strangely addictive for such a boring game- not an RPG though- I liked D2 a lot more specialy with LoD

Diablo 2 - Lord of Destruction: 8/10 points

Not an rpg but definitily a fun adictive game

Dungeon Siege: 5/10 points

Disapointing. Not a true RPG, litle story and character development, boring combat system. MP is a litle better but not terribily. Overall D2 is better. The GFX are nice tough and the poosibility of good mods will keep it in my HD

Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark: 8/10 points

Better than the original not as good as good storywise as the first expansion. Gameplay is highly improved upon. A solid game. Comunity support was (is) outstanding.

Siege of Avalon: 7/10 points

Only played the free chapter and it seems to be a nice game

Ultima 6 - The False Prophet: 8/10 points

One of the best games I ever played, with great graphics (for 1990 that is) and an impressive plot

Ultima 7 - Serpent Isle (Sequel): 10/10 points

I think I prefer the Black Gate, but I'm not sure

Ultima 7 - The Black Gate: 10/10 points

The game that got me hooked on Ultima. The outstanding, completely non-linear storyline and the complete interactivity are even able to make us forget the trouble it is to run it in ANY platform (I almost didn't play this game in my first computer a 386) and the poor combat sistem, but then forging the Black Sword, running errands and baking bread... "Do you know where you're going Avatar"

Ultima 7 Project - Exult: 10/10 points

Make both U7s Windows compatible. Last version I used had problems with ranged weaponry of NPCs and weapon sorting but those should have been fixed since then...

Ultima 9 - Ascension: 5/10 points

It pains me to write this Ultima was perhaps the most immersive game series ever, I've grown to know and love Britannia and then UIX came out: a) Bugs: the game was rushed leaving it with many bugs that probably turned off newbies to ultima, altough nowadays with patches and better machines it is quite playable if still cumbersome. b)Story: For an Ultima fan this is where things turn bad. The plot is repetitive, boring and previous Ultima lore is either ignored or thrown in the story without any care for context, dialogues are bad and NPC are poorly developed. c) Gameplay: There is no party system wich adds to lack of an Ultima feel to the game, the inventory is horrid, there is no more the freedoom to explore the world, you can only travel by boat moongate or on foot, and forget interacting with the world like in UVI or UVII, even the RPG elements like character development are poor (although to be fair the best character development in any Ultima was that of two Underworlds), I did like the combat system and you could now run, climb, jump, and swim (BTW the Avatar runs faster sideways than forward... AARHG) Bottom line if it wasn't an Ultima it might have been a 6, as a Ultima is a 4, so I guess it's a 5

Ultima Underworld 1 - The Stygian Abyss: 8/10 points

The forefather of a genre I have no great love it is despite that a good game.
