75% is the modest score handed out to inXile's 'The Bard's Tale' for the Xbox at 3DAvenue:
Up until recently there was one RPG series that dominated the console side of things and that was Final Fantasy. Whether it was the Japanese style, the gameplay or the package as a whole, it just seemed to sell more and more every time it came out in its variations. However recently another RPG style has been popular on consoles and that is the more traditional RPG. Games like Baldurs Gate and the upcoming Return to Arms have shown that other RPG games can succeed on the console. InXile Entertainment, for their first game, have decided to take the mickey out of the genre with the Bards Tale and while the comedy is very hit and miss, the game as a whole is more the former than the latter.
