Mounts are the main topic of RPG Vault's 'Dark Age of Camelot: Darkness Rising' peek #1.
Mythic Entertainment's Dark Age of Camelot: Darkness Rising is the sixth expansion for the popular persistent state endeavor that launched in 2001. Its defining feature is the continuing conflict among three diverse realms. Albion's residents are primarily humans like the Britons and Saracens, plus Half Ogres and Inconnu. Irish-themed and populated by races like the Celts, Firbolgs, Elves, Sylvan, Hibernia is an area where many lean toward magic. Northerly Midgard producing strong, hardy warriors including Trolls, Dwarves, Norsemen, Valkyn and others. Each domain seeks to assert itself through force of arms, and to capture the treasures held by the others.

The game has evolved significantly since launch, with three commercial expansions each offering different content. Shrouded Isles implemented new continents, races and classes. Next, Trials of Atlantis took players into the depths to explore another storied land while also adding one race per realm plus a Master Levels advancement system. Last year, Catacombs took the action below the ground and introduced features such as further classes and instanced adventure areas. Both free of charge to subscribers, Foundations and New Frontiers focused on housing and revamping the Realm vs. Realm play respectively. A prominent addition this time will be player-controlled mounts.
