The Dark and Light team return to answer more questions in week six of MMORPG.com's Q&A series. This week the topics are races, the dual-advancement system, and tradeskills. Also on offer, a new and exlcusive screenshot.
MMORPG.com: What sets the player character races apart from one another in DnL?

Dark and Light Team: Choosing a race influences of course the own race characteristics. A ˝ Troll will be naturally stronger than a Gnome. As soon as you elect your race, you will also have to choose our god allegiance among 9 Gods. The influence of your divine faction will allow you to talk with more or less easiness to some NPCs, for quests starting or other. It will also determine how monster’s antagonism will affect you…as monsters also depend on a god.

MMORPG.com: Tradeskills have become very important to most MMOs and, indeed, are often one of the main focuses of the game. Can you tell us a bit about DnLs Tradeskill system?

Dark and Light Team: Craft system and more generally economy management is based on an alternative progress with combat. This is what is called SXP for Social Experience Points, FXP for Fighting Experience Points.

This conception is the basement of DnL spirit.

If a player wants his tool or item to be the best, he will be the only one who will be able to enhance its power: thanks to the craft or an upgrade linked to its profession.

Dynamic markets will allow players to exchange their products and participate to the game economy and inflation.
