Gaming Invasion has posted an interview with someone from Deep Shadows' talking about the company's action RPG 'Xenus'.
Here's an excerpt:Why was Columbia chosen as the setting for the game?
We can name thousand of reasons, especially the interest of most part of the team to Latin America and to the recent situation there, Colombia is totally unpredictable country, and it had been created just for the most intricate detective stories. Never-ending peripetias and squabbles between the main groups in the country cannot help to predict even a single second of the day. Which player does not search the adventures? Which developer does not search the adventures for the player? But, besides, Colombia has exciting landscapes, very colorful cities and settlements, very many interesting places hidden on its maps - mines, secret bases, etc. To express all this in the virtual world of the game, you really need very serious technological abilities of the engine. We gave a dare to ourselves, but we were always sure that we will be able to show the 3D Colombia to the world and we're moving to our aim step to step. |
