Two new reviews of Divine Divinity can be found on the net today: The first one is at Gone Gold, and they award it a Gold rating with a score of 84/100. Their conclusion:
Divine Divinity does have its rough spots, but it successfully combines RPG and action game elements into a single game. It's fast paced, but it's more than a clickfest. It has a deep storyline with epic quests and NPCs, but it's more than a novel with the occasional combat. It's the kind of game where you can see the flaws, but you really don't look too deeply because the positives are so enjoyable. It's a fine effort from a small developer, who not only managed to combine seemingly incongruous elements from other games, but is also committed to supporting and improving their game. This is exactly the kind of game that gamers should be voting for with their wallets, and with an SRP lower than some other major new releases on the shelves, it's very affordable to do so. It certainly deserves a look. The second review can be found at PC Gameworld - with an even higher rating of 91%. Their summary is equally positive:
If you liked Diablo 2, but are perhaps looking for a gaming experience with more depth and story, look no further than Divine Divinity. If you’re a fan of action/RPG’s, this one is about as good as it gets. Go to the store and buy Divine Divinity – you’ll thank me as you’re slouching over your computer at 3:30 in the morning. One cannot help but congratulate Larian Studios on their game. You really notice that it was made by fans for fans - Rend | Source: Bluesnews |
