HomeLAN cornered Chris Taylor for an Dungeon Siege interview. Here's part of what he had to say:
HomeLAN - What can you tell us about the features of the engine being used for the game?

Chris Taylor - The Siege Engine was built from the ground up to provide a huge seamless experience so that when you enter the world, you never see another loading screen again. This alone was a huge feature. However, the engine has many more, like the ability to go in any direction, and to any distance without running into any mechanical limits... this include straight up and down. It's a portal based engine, which means worlds can wrap around on themselves, and you can step on a magical teleporter and be taken away to another planet (if that's what you're in to!).
