OK, "free" is not quite right. You need to have a level 50+ character on any server (except the "Pendragon" test servers) before you can accept the offer. The second catch is that the system has just entered testing and will not be available until it has passed the QA cycle. Secondly, Mythic has released a fansite kit for people who want to launch a DAoC related website. Not sure if the kit is all new or if it just offers updated content.
