ActionVault has published the third development diary on Call of Cthulhu - Dark Corners of the earth. Producer Chris Gray from Headfirst Productions talks about the visual quality of the game (which seems to have lost all RPG elements during the development process, so I wonder if we should still keep an eye on it...). Here you go with a bit from the article:
This is the first diary entry of 2002, the festive season has gone, the decorations are down, and the hangovers are just about fading. Unfortunately there is no time for relaxing into the New Year as we have the small matter of getting Call of Cthulhu into the shops. There is no doubting that the game's stunning visuals will make it one of the best looking titles of the year, but we are determined to make the gameplay match the quality of the graphics. On that note, there have been suggestions that the screenshots we've released, both for Cthulhu and one of our other projects called Deadlands, are rendered and not in-game graphics. This is probably the highest compliment our team can receive, especially considering the levels look even better when they are moving. |
