Another masterpiece from D.W. Bradley. This was a HUGE game. This had everything that Wiz 6 had and more! A few issues kept me from giving it a 10, though. It didn't have as good a story as #6, and it was easy to spend hours and hours wandering aimlessly about this overlarge world. Some puzzles were a bit frustrating, too. But still, very few games of today have as much depth as this one did. A hard-core rpg-er's dream! |

to the previous guy, this is wiz 7 not Wiz 8. check what you're rating before you vote. Secondly wiz 8 was not the mess U9 was. it was polished and bug free. This game, wiz 7, is a magnificent classic on par with ultima 7 as one of the best RPGs of all time. |

Huge game that despite its billing as a non-linear dungeon romps must be tackled in a few correct orders. In the end, there is such thing as too-much-of-a-good-thing. IMHO, W7 is simply too long for its own good. This is a game that took me 7 years to finish. Not much of a replay value either. |

After reading some of the reviews, I think many are missing the point of history when this came out. In its day, it had really clean graphics (svga compatable) and was the continuation of a game that set a new standard in gaming.
To look at it now, many of you may not appreciate this relic, but it was a fine game in its day filled with new things that hadn't been seen before.
It was an excellent game and deserves respect for being inovative for its time.
For those that are brutal with your reviews, I bet you don't like Donkey Kong either. :) |

I have had the honour and pleasure of playing every wizardry game created and by far this one, wiz7 is the best. The length of gameplay, storyline, character creation, NPCs. Love this game so much that I built a retro machine (p166) so that I can play it any time. |
