Baldur's Gate: 5/10 points |
loved the pacing of this game, the world had some life and atmosphere to it, some good and varied battles, some cool production values to help bring the story to life, although I didn't exactly enjoy the story...I realy wanted to love this game... But.... one sore spot for me(and my biggest complaint about the gaming industry in general) that really detracted from the experiance was some of the silly, juvenile dialog and events that i ran into frequently as i tried to play this game. i take my RPG gaming very seriously... and sadly most games produced don't seem to cater to a more sophisicated adult player, this game just took it too far. |
Divine Divinity: 7/10 points |
Although I haven't gotten to far in this game as of yet I'm compeled to state that this game is well done despite some disapoint on how I precieve it. Graphics(although not the greatest) are quite nice, the story is better written than I'm used to(and that is oh-so nice), game play is typacle with a few extras., animation is really its biggest fault(figures look to stiff and there is no smooth transition in animation). But the music...well...is probably the best i have ever heard(I used to think the music in the Icewind Dale and Baldurs Gate games was the best done ...but i have changed my mind). thanks go to Larian for a game that entertains. |
Dungeon Siege: 6/10 points |
pretty game....lots of action...but, ho-hum, will anybody ever make a game with more gameplay options and a more living(vs hostile) world. still i give chris a lot of credit for making a competitor to the diablo series. |
Lands of Lore 1 - The Throne Of Chaos: 9/10 points |
I have yet to play the RPG i hope to one day play, but up to this point... this game is still my favorite all time. It just had so much atmosphere and character. at times, when I think back on it, I feel as if I actually lived thru it |
Might & Magic 6 - The Mandate of Heaven: 8/10 points |
My first experiance with a Might and Magic game and it was fantastic. It consumed 2 months of my life. |
Stonekeep: 5/10 points |
i'll nver forget the HYPE this game generated before its' release and it did have some cool features i wish would be implemented in current rpgs. but overall it's one of the few RPGs i onced owned and got rid of. |
Wizardry 8: 6/10 points |
Enjoyable game.... you could tell the production of the game was a labor of love from the developers. Some cleaver details helped to give the game a bit of life. However it was more battle intensive than I would have liked and I did find some battles difficult to survive. |
Wizards & Warriors - Quest for the Mavin Sword: 7/10 points |
it disapointed in many ways...but i still think highly of it. had some real atmosphere and a few sparks of brilliance |
