The RPGvault has posted a hands-on preview of Larian Studios' Divine Divinity.
Here's a little teaser:To be perfectly honest, I was not expecting much from this game and its rather peculiar title didn't exactly help things along. However, by this preview's end, the gameplay and fun of the game began to shine through like a diamond in the rough. There are definitely areas that can be improved but the core of the game seems solid enough and this should, barring last minute changes, result in an equally solid game. If you can overlook the dark pedestrian graphics and some niggling control issues I had an awful time targeting and clicking on monsters to attack them then Divine Divinity may suck up a lot of your time. With close to 100 diverse skills for 6 distinct character types, thousands of monsters and hundreds of NPCs over some 20000 screens of real estate in a fully fleshed out fantasy world, Larian Studios' RPG is looking to make a big splash sometime soon in the next few months. |
